I appreciate effective parenting BUT now that social media platform connect you with friends, posting pictures and updating others on your personal life. Some teens/youths feel that it is an invasion of privacy when parents and other adults seek to “friend” them in this social forum. WHAT DO YOU THINK?

Is it horrible to be friends with your parents on Facebook?
- Why not, it’s ok. Parents are not masquerades, a child should be free to let his/her parents know the contents of what he post or shares on social media, through this excesses can be curtailed and proper guidance can be applied. Me and my dad are friends on facebook. This could also serve as a form of parent-children transparency.
